Miss S

Writer's picture: Meghan LeeMeghan Lee

We've got another "Miss S" that came in to see Kristen Fonville for a boudoir photo shoot at the end of March and I was ecstatic to find out about her skin tone. I know that sounds bad writing it out like that, but I don't get many melanin queens to do makeup on, so I usually always jump at the chance of adding their faces to my portfolio. I want to do hair and makeup on ALL women regardless of skin texture, tone, age, sexuality, etc. Now that it sounds like I'm trying to prove myself (LOL), Miss S was probably one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. She was talkative, not just about herself, and is pretty active on Kristen's private boudoir group on Facebook. It seems she truly cares about other people and I love that about her. She booked the photo shoot for her husband and he's in on the secret as he helped pick out her outfits. But you know he's going to be 10 levels of shocked when he sees the final images. I've seen a sneak peek and I can't wait!

Products used:

Nars radiant longwear foundation in Macao used as base and concealer, Makeup Revolution Luxury Baking Powder in Banana, Benefit Toasted bronzer, ColourPop blush, ABH x Amrezy highlight, ColourPop brow pencil in Bangin' Brunette, ColourPop Bare Necessities palette on the eyes, mascara, Kiss Couture lashes in Gala, and Bare Minerals cream lipstick in Posh topped with Morphe cream lipstick in Caught in the center.

SIDE NOTE // I know there's a way for me to mute the sound on the above-type videos when I post on social media, but I don't think there's a way to do it in here. Soooo if there's sound or my really annoying voice, just ignore me. Lol.

Kristen let me know a few weeks back that Miss S's images are ready to view and post. With this quarantine going on, you know I had plenty of time to "publish" this blog post, but did I? Nope. I am now, so be happy! Miss S served all the looks!!
